Mission

NPCA (National Parks Conservation Association) works to protect the natural and cultural resources of America's treasures, our National Parks.

In Nevada, we work on issues and funding for Lake Mead National Recreation Area and Great Basin National Park. We also work on issues for nearby park units including Grand Canyon, Death Valley, Mojave Preserve, Grand Canyon Parashant.

We are currently working on seeing that the Upper Las Vegas Wash is made a national monument, managed by the National Park Service. The area, which is alternately known as Tule Springs, is a significant Ice Age fossil site that may have the scientific foundation to better understanding climate change.
