Oct 16, 2013
The U.S. Forest Service is looking for volunteers to be Snow Play Hosts at Mt. Charleston. Every winter weekend, thousands of people flock to the mountains to play in the snow, and hosts are needed to provide roadside information about snow play opportunities and engage visitors at snow play sites. Hosts will encourage visitors to have fun while reducing impact on the forest.
Volunteers need to be a least 18 years old and able to work outdoors in cold conditions. Snow Play Hosts work on weekends and holidays, with shifts of three to six hours. More about the position and contact information here.
