Adults can help kids with disabilities get school services UPDATE

Children with disabilities in the foster care system often need someone to make sure they get services necessary to excel in school. The non-profit Legal Aid Center of Southern Nevada's Educational Surrogate Parent Program trains volunteers to serve as advocates for students during school meetings and for special education issues.

There will be an orientation and training meeting on , from 6 to 9 p.m. at UNLV's Boyd School of Law. For more information, contact Legal Aid Center at surrogates@lacsn.org or 386-1070, ext. 1446.
