Other Voices Gallery in LV has futuristic ceramics

The Other Voices Gallery in downtown Las Vegas is showing ceramic works by Rachel Van Wagoner through March 4, in a show called "Welcome to the Fabulous Futuro." They contrast simple forms of creatures against the complex concept of the cosmos and space travel. The artist "draws on retro pop culture and NASA imagery to create environs for these creatures and their microcosmic surroundings."

Ms. Van Wagoner is a Las Vegas native who earned her MFA degree in ceramics from Brigham Young University in 2011. The gallery is on the first floor of Emergency Arts, 520 Fremont Street. Their Facebook page is here.
