Dances of Universal Peace
May 9, 2014
Dances of Universal Peace meets on the second Friday of every month from 7 to 9 p.m. at Stillpoint, R&R Plaza, 8072 West Sahara Avenue, Suite D, Las Vegas.
Participants perform chant and dance from a variety of cultures. You do not need to know how to dance and no partner is required. You will be dancing the path to peace by honoring the sacred traditions of the world through song and dance. Everyone participates.
Songs are taught and then sung in the native language of the cultures they are honoring. The phrases are short and easy to learn. The dances are done in a circle, using simple folk dance movements. Wear comfortable clothes.
Admission is by donation ($10 suggested). They also meet in Pahrump every other month. For more information go here.
