“A few of us were sitting around at lunch talking about different vacation destinations, and we kept coming back to Las Vegas and people always talk about getting lucky in Vegas, but not the lucky from a slot machine – we were talking the other lucky,” Reed said.

Reed and two friends – Nathaniel Laurant, president of the website, and Fredrick Hoffman, vice president – came up with the idea of a website where Vegas visitors could connect for casual fun, formal dates, business meetings or no-strings-attached liaisons. The domain name was registered in March 2011.
