DESERT BLOOM - Fertilizers

Listen

Exactly what do those three numbers on a bag of fertilizer mean? One size does not fit all plants when it comes to "plant food." Angela O'Callaghan explains.

This spring she'll be doing a series of classes - one Saturday per month at the University Cooperative Extension offices in Green Valley.

On February 26th she'll be teaching her Gardening in Small Places class.

March 19th, she'll teach part two of that class, entitled "Gardening in Small Places: What went wrong?" It covers how to scout out problems and some less toxic solutions.

There was such a large demand for her January Compost class that she will repeat it on April 23rd.

All of these classes have limited enrollment so you need to reserve a spot. Call the Master Gardener Help line for more information: (702) 257-5555
