DESERT BLOOM - Windy Days

Listen

Norm Schilling has some notes on the effect of wind on your trees and plants, and a refresher on fertilizer.

Flower

Trichocerus hybrid "Flying Saucer"...the most bold, beautiful and BIGGEST flower in my garden! Who says cactus aren't beautiful!

Flower

Another Trichocerus hybrid, whose name I don't know. Such a rich yellow, and 5 blooms opened all at once!

Flower

The bee is a carpenter bee...I call them Ghandi-bees, for they're such pacifists. Though they're big and scary looking, they don't ever sting, unless you really TRY to antagonize them! They're also great pollinators.
