NICOLLE
ITS NICE TO KNOW THAT SOME THINGS NEVER CHANGE---YES THE FOOD AT CAFE NICOLLE IS JUST AS BORING AND OVERPRICED AS EVER. THAT BEING SAID, ITS STILL ONE OF THE PRETTIEST RESTAURANTS IN TOWN, EVEN IF THEY HAVENT CHANGED THE DECOR IN TEN YEARS. WHO CAN BLAME EM--ONE THING THE OWNERS GOT RIGHT WAS THE LOOK OF THE PLACE. THE GLEAMING BRASS AND GLASS, A SEE AND BE SCENE TONINESS AND AL FRESCO DINING THAT GIVES YOU MORE THAN AUTOS AND ASPHALT TO LOOK AT ARE STILL UNMATCHED IN THIS TOWN FOR COMFORT AND QUIET. TOPPING IT ALL OFF IS ONE OF THE BEST LIGHTING JOBS YOULL EVER SEE, IN A RESTAURANT, OR ANYWHERE. WHICH EXPLAINS WHY ALL THOSE MOVERS AND SHAKERS KEEP COMING---BECAUSE AT CAFE NICOLLE--THE FOOD IS BESIDE THE POINT. BEING SEEN AND PRETENDING YOURE STILL IN YOUR GLORY DAYS OF THE GO-GO EIGHTIES IS THE POINT. AND THAT LIGHTING SURE COMES IN HANDY WHEN TRYING TO FORGET WHAT THE RAVAGES OF TIME, DEBAUCHERY AND ALIMONY HAVE DONE TO YOUR FACE---BUT ENOUGH ABOUT ME.
WHICH IS WHY THE FOOD IS DEAD LAST OF THE MANY REASONS PEOPLE CONTINUE TO COME HERE. ONE ATROCIOUS MEAL AFTER ANOTHER, AND IVE BEEN MASOCHISTICALLY SPENDING MY CASH HERE FOR EIGHT YEARS, (I USED TO LIVE AROUND THE CORNER), SHOULD MERIT A DIATRIBE OF THE FIRST MAGNITUDE, BUT WONT---NOT TODAY ANYWAY. LETS JUST SAY THAT CAFE NICOLLE HAS THE WORST, MOST OVERPRICED FOOD OF ANY UPSCALE RESTAURANT I HAVE EVER DINED IN, AND LEAVE IT AT THAT. BUT NO MATTER WHAT YOU ORDER, I GUARANTEE, YOULL LOOK MAAAHVELOUS.
CAFE NICOLLE IS LOCATED AT 4760 W. SAHARA AVE., LAS VEGAS, NV 870-7675.
