Amusement Park Era on the Strip
Las Vegas advertises itself as an adult playground today, but in the not-too-distant past, Strip casinos actively courted the family market. Amusement parks sprang up, complete with singing skeletons, giant dragons, and rollercoasters. Is that era over? Or is there still a place for family fun on the Strip?

Nevada consistantly leads the nation in suicide. While it may be easy to point to the extreme lifestyle of Las Vegas, the underlying reasons for this run deep. Wild Horses
KNPR's State of Nevada is looking at the only wild horse auction this year involving the Bureau of Land Management and the National Wild Horse Association. We'll discuss how the horses are rounded up, held, "gentled" or trained and how citizens adopt such horses, the success rate and more. The management of wild horses is a controversial issue and this is one of many programs State of Nevada will be presenting on various aspects of this issue. This program is specifically informational as to how the process works, in and of itself. As with our first program, future programs will examine various positions for or against BLM wild horse management, including differences in views of cattlemen and horse advocates
