Western Forests Now More Susceptible To Fire

It used to be a lot of trees in Western forests could withstand wildfires and benefitted greatly from the flames clearing out ground brush, but new research shows that's changing. Drought and extreme heat have led to trees that were once able to withstand fires more vulnerable. We'll talk with a U.S. Geological Ecologist about what's changing and what it means for future fires.
