AIR DATE: August 27, 2013

Two-term Sheriff Doug Gillespie announced yeseterday that he would not be running for re-election. The announcement follows a series of unflattering stories, including mass resignations on the Use of Force Review Board and revelations that a Metro commander gave a helicopter ride to a guitar player from Guns 'n' Roses. Sheriff Gillespie said he would focus on the More Cops initiative, which is currently being considered by the Clark County Commission.
