Tragic Shooting At Sparks Middle School
Tragic Shooting At Sparks Middle School

AIR DATE: October 22, 2013

Yesterday morning a shooter opened fire at Sparks Middle School in the Washoe County School District, critically injuring two students and fatally shooting a teacher before turning the gun on himself.

The suspect has been identified as a student at the school. The teacher, former Marine Michael Landsberry, is reported to have died attempting to protect students from harm.
