She was just named Nevada’s librarian of the year, but sadly, it’s her last year on the job. Jeanne Goodrich has been at the helm of one of the largest library districts in the country for the last four years, including the lean years of the recession. She's announced her plan to retire next year.

So how did Goodrich keep Las Vegas libraries vital in an era of declining funding and easy access to digital information?

We’ll find out how libraries have changed through the years and what the modern library should aspire to, according to Nevada’s own Librarian of the Year.
