Nevada Libertarian Chair Resigns
Nevada Libertarian Chair Resigns

AIR DATE: November 22, 2013

In an attitude that can perhaps best be characterized as disgust, Joe Silvestri has resigned as the chair of the Libertarian Party of Nevada.

On his blog, Silvestri says he is “exhausted from the stupid drama that prevents the party from achieving critical mass.” And he’s not optimistic about the party’s future, either.

Is Silvestri’s characterization fair, and if so, why can’t the Libertarian party get traction in Nevada, where pockets of anti-government sentiment seem to thrive?
