States Look At Marijuana Laws
States Look At Marijuana Laws

Listen
AIR DATE: April 21, 2014

Nevada’s medical marijuana law took effect this month, but much more needs to be done before dispensaries pop up in strip malls from Las Vegas to Mesquite.

That’s especially true for dispensaries, labs and even potential pot growers in Clark County. All must still pass some of the strictest requirements in the country.

According to the 136-pages of regulations, applicants who want to open a marijuana dispensary must supply the state with five years of tax records, information on employees, including criminal records, and a detailed budget.

And as Nevada works out the details of dispensarie regulations, Colorado is turning attention to labelling marijuana edibles.
