'Post-Racial?' Some Hope For 'Post-Racist'

Listen
AIR DATE: May 2, 2014

Clark County Rancher Cliven Bundy says "Negroes" had better lives under slavery. LA Clippers owner Donald Sterling asks his girlfriend not to publicize pictures of her hanging out with black men. And that got us thinking here at State of Nevada, what happened to that whole post-racial society we were supposed to be living in?

Instead of talking about a "post-racial" society, our guests say we should work towards a "post-racist" society. We talk about their experiences and perspectives of racism in Nevada and the U.S., and take your calls.

GUESTS

Laura Martin, Spokesperson PLAN

Rainier Spencer, UNLV Professor and Director, Afro-American Studies Program
