There are two plans for high-speed rail links from Las Vegas to Southern California but they don't seem to have made the cut with the latest round of federal funding. We talk with transportation expert Eric Morris about the lack of a unified national approach and about whether high-speed rail can ever succeed in the United States as it has in Europe and Japan.
