There's a reason why more than half of North Las Vegas's budget goes to public safety - high crime. Commencement of construction on a new police station last week is part of a broader plan to bring the city's policing systems up to date. But as KNPR's Ky Plaskon reports, the challenge for police is not just crime, the challenge is getting the public to care.
