Artist and writer Er Tai Gao spoke out briefly in 1957 about the meaning of art and found himself damned as a rightist in Mao Zedong's China. He was sent for political re-education. He's published a memoir of the experience, In Search of My Homeland: A Memoir of a Chinese Labor Camp. He will be reading at the Barrick Museum Auditorium at 7pm Wednesday, and he joins us to discuss his life and writings.
