There a number of federal and state programs to help homeowners, stabilize neighborhoods, and sort through the housing mess in southern Nevada.

We talking to the director of the Las Vegas field office of the department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD). The local HUD office now has a rapid response team in place, and newly reorganized programs aimed at getting more resources to those who need it. We hear from field office director Ken LoBene about the state of the housing crisis in southern Nevada, and how HUD has revamped some of its programs.
