When you hear the word "opera," do you think Verdi and Puccini? Or do you think of Bugs Bunny and Elmer Fudd in long braids and a Vikings helmet singing onstage? Well, no matter how fluent you are in opera, fear not! The Las Vegas Philharmonic is bringing the ancient art form to modern audiences with its show, "A Night at the Opera (For People Who Think They Hate Opera)." Conductor David Itkin and two opera singers join us to woo you to the operatic side. Think you hate opera? Think again.

The Las Vegas Philharmonic will be performing Saturday, May 8 at 8 p.m. It's the fifth concert in the Philharmonic's Masterworks Series.

GUESTS
David Itkin, conductor, Las Vegas Philharmonic
Tod Fitzpatrick, baritone singer
Eugenie Grunewald, mezzo soprano singer
