Rory Reid has no Democratic challengers for the gubernatorial race... except for one man: an anthropology professor. Fred Conquest says he joined the race because he wanted Democrats to have a choice. He talks about why having no political experience actually gives him the advantage. His motto: "If you want something done right, do it yourself." We talk to Fred Conquest about his race against Rory Reid and what it will take to win the Democratic nomination.
I appreciate his proposed educational, structural or rational,
changes, as displayed, on good LV knpr!! For, I am sick and tired of lawyers (aka sophists) running our economy, polity, and society.

Just because it isn't mentioned in a radio interview doesn't mean the point is missing. If it is required and were put on a ballet I would vote for it today. We have to stop cutting education. We have to better educate our children. We are one of the largest school districts in the United States and spend less on our students then any other state. We are number 50 out of 50 states. I love his creative ideas. We need to provide our children with a better education. If we have to make an amendment to the Nevada Constitution to ensure that happens do we have a problem with that? I don't.Liz –May 23, 2010 09:10:42 AM
Your guest is missing several points.
1. Breaking up school districts would require an ammendment to the State Constitution, which mandates that school districts are divided along county boundries.
2. Mandating other hospitals to take indigent care is not possible. UMC is the only public hospital in Clark County. Any mandates for the
private sector would have to come from health care reform. Bob –May 21, 2010 00:00:00 AM
