Primary Day
Primary Day

AIR DATE: June 10, 2010

Finally, the big day is close. The official primary election day is Tuesday and we check all the late breaking news and numbers with the pundits.

Can Sue Lowden or Danny Tarkanian stop Sharron Angle's Tea Party momentum? Who does Sen. Harry Reid really want to run against? And how big will Brian Sandoval's victory be over incumbent Gov. Jim Gibbons? Who's likely to make to the general election for the Legislature? We look at that and more with Steve Sebelius and Elizabeth Crum.

My vote is going to Sharron Angle. To the comment on air five minutes ago about Sharron not getting into office because she won't be able to pass laws, because she won't budge on her values... since when is passing/adding laws a good thing. Most laws now, are just another form of taxing the people. I would go further on this, but I'm commenting from my smartphone.

I find that the Arizona immigration law has no use in Nevada, especially when it comes to the popular reason for supporting it (jobs). If we really wanted to enforce tougher immigration laws for economic reasons, we would penalize businesses that hire illegal immigrants instead of going after illegal immigrants themselves. I find that the Arizona law tries to treat symptoms instead of the cause. The fact that I have heard few candidates bring this up is worrying.
