Newly nominated Senate candidate Sharron Angle has been called dangerous and wacky. She's even been accused of using language which sounds very similar to that used by the militia movement. So where does she lie on the political spectrum? And are there hidden meanings in some of her speeches and advertising? Does it matter whether she wants to "privatize" or "personalize" Social Security? We talk with Michael Cohen and Sam Tanenhaus to parse that language and to look at where Angle fits in the history of modern American Conservatism.

I believe we are slowly turning into a socialist government. The government is continually growing bigger and more powerful and the people need to prepare to defend themselves against government control.
Sharron Angle? Given her past statements, it wouldn't have surprised me if it was her.

I an an American Patriot by birth. MY Relatives were original Sons O The AMERICAN REVOLUTION and rode with Revere & Dawes. I currently have a huge problem with phrases;TAKE BACK AMERICA & TAKE OUT Harry Reid.Take back America, I am sure, is code for " Get our country back to white leadership". This is defeatist based solely on demographic trends. BUT, *** TAKE OUT Harry Reid... using 2nd amendment rights implies something much more evil. No-one AIMS second amendment rights over a fence without TRUE MALICE. I believe the slayers of MLK thought they were "expressing a right". This must stop.

The campaign language that I *continually* hear is that she is truly
"conservative, with a record to prove it". Well, I checked, and
while in the legislature she voted for the four largest budgets in
Nevada history! What kind of conservative record is that??
By the way, I'm "conservative", and wouldn't vote for her for the
above reason.
