Blind Athlete and Filmmaker Bike for Handicap Awareness
AIR DATE: July 30, 2010
LISTEN TO M3U | DOWNLOAD MP3

In 2006, Dominic Gill hopped on a tandem bike and started pedaling. He biked from Alaska to the tip of South America, and along the way, he picked up strangers to bike with him. He turned it into an award-winning documentary, called Take A Seat. Now, Dominic is biking across America. But this time, he's filling his spare seat with handicapped bikers. We check in with Dominic and his latest cohort: a legally blind student from Las Vegas. How do you bike when you're blind? How do handicaps change the game? And what do you talk about when biking hundreds of miles with a complete stranger?

Carlos Terrazas and Dominic Gill tandem biked from Las Vegas to Salt Lake City.
