In the new game, "Fallout: New Vegas," players will blast across the Mojave Wastelands and find themselves on a post-apocalyptic Las Vegas Strip.

Developers Obsidian Entertainment and Bethesda Softoworks crafted the image of the "New Vegas" on the imagery from Las Vegas' past. The game is the latest in the popular Fallout series that started in 1997.

We talk to the "Fallout: New Vegas" project lead about why they picked Las Vegas as the backdrop and how the imagery of the Strip and Nevada's atomic history played into the game's development.

Josh Sawyer, Project Lead on "Fallout: New Vegas", Obsidian Games
