Writer Matt O'Brien decided to spend a week at the seedy, rundown Blue Angel Motel on East Fremont Street. He met some of the odd assortment of characters who live there and he tells about them in a new collection of his non-fiction writing entitled My Week at the Blue Angel: And Other Stories from the Storm Drains, Strip Clubs, and Trailer Parks of Las Vegas. He launched the book with a panel discussion at the Vegas Valley Book Festival.
