The Huntridge Circle Park has had a checkered past. The City of Las Vegas generated controversy when it decided to fence the park to prevent homeless people sleeping there overnight. The park, the council hopes, will soon become the site of the Las Vegas Veterans' Memorial. The organizers of the private effort and the city have agreed on a design from Kentucky-based designer Douwe Blumberg. But organizers Mike Millett and Mick Citron still have to raise the full budget of $1 million-plus to complete the work. We talk with all three about the project.
