The Tropicana is undergoing a huge makeover to bring the property back to life after more than 50 years on the strip.

After emerging from bankruptcy executives from the the company that purchased the Tropicana, Onyx Corp., say after the renovations are complete it will compete with the shiny new properties on the Strip.

But will it work? We talk with David G. Schwartz, director of the UNLV Center for Gaming Research about reinventing the Tropicana.
