At the recent election, voters brought new blood onto the Board of Regents. Las Vegas opthalmologist Dr. Mark Doubrava defeated long-time state senator and incumbent university regent Ray Rawson. He promised new ideas. He also wants the system to ensure the higher education system is training enough health professionals.
