At the recent election, voters brought new blood onto the Board of Regents. Las Vegas opthalmologist Dr. Mark Doubrava defeated long-time state senator and incumbent university regent Ray Rawson. He promised new ideas. He also wants the system to ensure the higher education system is training enough health professionals. We discuss the Nevada System of Higher Education with the new regent for District 7.
