Author J.C. Hallman was fascinated by Utopia - the imaginary perfect world that Sir Thomas More invented to ... well we're not quite sure why he invented it. Still the idea of the perfect place and recreating it here on earth remains a very strong impulse no matter whether it's the attempt to create a primordial wilderness in Southern California, latter-day hippy communes or a military training academy in Pahrump.
