Coastwest Unrest
Coastwest Unrest

Listen
AIR DATE: January 21, 2011

Las Vegas is known for edgy, punk rock bands. But indie bands with a softer sound are starting to take root in the Valley. Coastwest Unrest is one of those bands - it just wrapped up a national tour. They're also combining the worlds of rock and classical, thanks to UNLV classically-trained members. We talk to the local brothers who founded the band, and how they used college radio to break onto the national scene.

Coastwest Unrest performs at the Winchester Community Center on Friday, January 21, at 7 p.m.

GUEST
Noah Dickie, guitarist and vocalist
Josh Dickie, drummer
Alex Barnes, violinist
