The revolution has been relentless, argues historian Joyce Appleby, in her new book detailing the history of capitalism from the early 16th century to the present. In fact, shape-shifting has been the essence of capitalism whether it's 18th century England, 19th century America or 21st century China. Appleby will be speaking at UNLV's Boyd School of Law on Wednesday when she delivers the Pro Lecture in Legal History.
