We talk to Marshall Allen of the Las Vegas Sun. Marshall Allen and his data-crunching colleague Alex Richards were recently awarded the Goldsmith Prize for Investigative Reporting for their series "Do No Harm: Hospital Care in Las Vegas".

It was a two-year investigation, including the review of 2.9 million records. And it allows consumers a better sense of how hospitals are performing in the Las Vegas valley. As a result of publication of this five-part reporting series, and online web presentation, some local hospitals have become more transparent.
