AIR DATE: April 5, 2011

Doug Smith is tired of seeing billboards lining the highways.  He calls them "litter on sticks," and he's battled billboard companies to bring them down.  Even in retirement, he often stands outside grocery stories to petition them.  He founded the nonprofit, Scenic Nevada, to help preserve Nevada's landscapes.  We talk to Doug Smith about his fights with the billboard companies, teaching kids to preserve the landscape, and who's going to take up his cause now that he's retiring from Scenic Nevada.

GUEST

Doug Smith, founder, Scenic Nevada
