The free for all format of the special election in Nevada's second congressional district has so far attracted 8 candidates. One Nevada's most prominent Democratic leaders, State Treasurer, Kate Marshall is one of the candidates looking to fill the seat vacated by now Senator, Dean Heller. Kate Marshall has an extensive background in the legal field and was elected as state treasurer in 2006 and was reelected in 2010. Kate Marshall joins us to talk about the race and what she think the defining issues in congressional district 2 are.

Kate: I am not trying to be rude but I am being blunt. YOU need to be more informed about the issues? I am a Democrat and would not vote for the Republican in the race period. However, you need to be more informed about the issues including the Dream Act. We also can not cut our way out of this budget crisis. We need to reinstate the tax cuts. Given what I heard from you, you need to be more informed. I liked your grandfather story but that does not cut it. Will Schroeder Las Vegas

I would love to talk about the issues. . There are other candidates even one like me who was the ELECTED Democratic nominee less than six months prior to this CD-2 situation.
