Early voting starts on Saturday and the candidates for Mayor of Las Vegas have solidified their stances on various city issues. But in the past week talks of a new arena in Las Vegas accelerated when Mayor Goodman said a deal could be in place this week. And on fiscal issues the city approved a $455.2 million spending plan. With ever increasing gasoline prices and high smog/pollution levels in Vegas; the mobile billboards waste natural resources, exhaust smog causing polluntants and clog up city streets. Further, the ads themselves can be quite tasteless, and some I would assume a parent would not want their child to see. I know you are against the mobile billboards, but I have seen little or no action taken to lower their impact on Las Vegas or our sanity (I am tired of seeing Elvis drift by my house).
