Since 1978, Atlantic City was the only place in the Eastern US to play slots and roulette.  In 2006, the city was raking in as much as $5.2 billion.  But now, Atlantic City is teetering on the brink of collapse - it lost over a billion dollars, and thousands of jobs.  It missed chances at diversification, and ignored the triple whammy of competition from Pennsylvania, New York, and Delaware.  So what happened to Atlantic City?  And could Las Vegas be next?
