Don't be fooled by the blonde hair. Karin Slaughter writes gritty thrillers. They even have a touch of macabre, as the ghoulish details of the murder are investigated in the coroner's lab. Slaughter's newest book is Fallen and it does connect the criminal with the cop. Slaughter will be reading at the Clark County Library on East Flamingo Road this Tuesday and she'll also be talking about one of her favorite subjects - America's public libraries.
