Carolyn Goodman Starts Her Run as Mayor

After a contentious campaign Carolyn Goodman walked away with an easy victory in the race to become the new mayor of Las Vegas. Now she has been sworn into her husband's old post at City Hall and says she's going to keep the vision of Oscar Goodman going strong as mayor. Mayor Carolyn Goodman joins us to talk about what she's working on in her first days on the job.

    Mayor Goodman: Since Las Vegas hosts a major Star Trek Convention each year, I was wondering what plans are in the immediate works to reopen the Star Trek Experience that used to be at the LV Hilton? The previous Mayor Goodman had talked about opening it downtown. What are your thoughts as this would also create jobs?

    Re the zappos deal. I understand the discount was given to the Resort Gaming Group and that they have not closed on the building. Why did the City not do more due diligence in seeking more bids from developers?
