AIR DATE: August 2, 2011

So is writing about music like dancing about architecture? Desert Companion Editor and novelist Andrew Kiraly has made the hero of his new book a practitioner of that dubious art. Gabe Sack leaves the demi-monde of LA in search of Hambert Larkin, a singer reportedly singing in Las Vegas. And, of course, the search takes Sack to even lower depths.

I've read "Crit" and it is an absolutely wonderful book! Andrew has a magical way with words and his prose brings the depth of the story to life. I can highly recommend it!
