Plagued by a massive budget shortfall, the City of North Las Vegas was the subject of talks about a state takeover earlier this year. To remedy the city's dire financial situation and put North Las Vegas on solid financial footing the city has just hired a new city manager.

Timothy Hacker was approved for the job in a 4-to-1 vote on Sept. 21. Hacker is the former Mesquite city manager and he joins us to talk about challenges in the City of North Las Vegas.
