Lolita Develay: The Superficial Art of Window Shopping

AIR DATE: October 17, 2011
LISTEN TO M3U | DOWNLOAD MP3

Local artist Lolita Develay wanted to compare the lofty aspirations of CityCentre with the reality of its struggling finances. So she went to its big-name department stores, and created an exhibit of mannequins, sequins and furs. She says it's a reflection of the superficial nature of our culture, and also how it feeds the commercial beast of Las Vegas. Lolita Develay takes us behind the scenes of "Window Shopping."

GUEST
Lolita Develay, artist and UNLV student
