Flannery O'Connor said she as often asked if universities stifled writers. “My view is that they don’t stifle enough of them.” Still, the Iowa Writers Workshop is one of the flagship factories for American fiction and poetry. Some of its graduates have come together to reflect on what they learned about literature and how to make it at the Iowa Writers Workshop. They will be speaking on Saturday night at The Lady Silvia and join us ahead of that discussion.
