Listen
AIR DATE: November 23, 2011

The Las Vegas Monorail has been facing financial problems for a couple of years but they took a sharp turn for the worse late last week when U.S. Bankruptcy Judge Bruce Markell refused to sign off on a plan that he says would not get the monorail back into the black. Now it faces either closure or sale in a very depressed market. So what's the future of the Las Vegas Monorail?

COMMENTS:
Speaking of links between the monorail and the RTCSNV, at least 2 RTC staffers took high-ranking jobs at the monorail. Curtis Myles was an RTC asst. GM and became the monorail CEO. Ingrid Reisman was the RTC Communications mgr and became the VP of Corp. Comm for the monorail. It's hard not to be cynical about this club car situation...
