No Business License? Watch Out
No Business License? Watch Out

AIR DATE: November 29, 2011

Clark County is looking to collect on millions of dollars to ease its tight budget, and it's looking at local business owners.  Many owners don't realize they need a county license, in addition to their city license.  Licenses cost $100 to $1000 per year.  But the dollar signs add up: the county collected $27.3 million in business licenses this past fiscal year alone.  So how will the county crack down?  And will it collect enough to help ease our budget woes?  Is cracking down on local business owners worth it?

Steve Sisolak, Clark County Commissioner
