Michael Thompson on Raising Boys

AIR DATE: January 6, 2012

In today's world of video game violence and high-tech overload, how do we raise our boys?  Where do boys find an outlet for aggression?  And what happens when they feel they don't fit in at school?  Child psychologist Michael Thompson says we can help our boys - but first, we have to understand how they think.  Thompson studied a number of adolescent boys for a PBS documentary, "Raising Cain."  How are today's boys developing?  Why do schools require energetic kids to sit still for so long?  What school programs will help boys better interact with others?

Michael Thompson discusses school and parenting tools.  He speaks January 8 at 1 p.m. at the Adelson Educational Campus Auditorium.
