The play "A Raisin in the Sun" took a harsh look at an African-American family struggling to succeed in the 1950s, held back by the color barrier and their own foibles.  The play itself was also groundbreaking: it was the first Broadway play written by a black woman, and led by a black director.  Walter Mason was a production manager during that 1959 show.  He now directs the 2012 local production of "A Raisin in the Sun."

We talk to Mason and the cast about the play, and how the characters' issues from 1959 parallel their own 21st century lives.  "A Raisin in the Sun" plays on Sunday, Feb. 26, at CSN's Cheyenne campus Horn Theatre at 2 p.m.
