Winter Olympics in Lake Tahoe

Listen
AIR DATE: February 27, 2012

The United State Olympic Committee will not decide on which city they want to compete globally for the rights to host the 2022 Winter Olympics until next October.  Lake Tahoe, Denver and Salt Lake City have exploratory committees looking at the viability of hosting the event.  We talk with NPR's Howard Berkes, who has covered seven Olympic games, to discuss which of those cities, if any, have a chance at hosting the Winter Olympics.
